allovoro Designed by Michele De Lucchi & Gerhard Reichert allavoro 492 is an office chair whose design roots go back to the wooden office chairs of the turn of the 20th century, yet incorporates a full synchronous swivel/tilt mechanism for maximum comfort and support. The design is characterised by its unobtrusive yet distinctive visual impact in a Home Office setting, and the minimal use of materials. The swivel chair incorporates our automatic synchronous action, refined over the last 20 years to give infinite adjustment and long-term trouble free use. The visitor/meeting chairs use the renowned Bauhaus-Freischwinger cantilever design based on the concept by Gert Stuttgen (1924) and Mart Stam (1926) for which we still have protection as a Creation of Applied Art under copyright law. |

Technical Information. Synchronous Action: infinite adjustment to body weight from 55kg to 110kg, with a backrest tilt of up to 19 degrees and seat tilt of up to 11 degrees, plus a 5 position tilt lock. Backrest: available in 9mm natural or stained Beech plywood with integral arms, which give a structural connection to the synchronous action. The steel can be matt or polished, or lacquered Black RAL 9011 or Grey RAL DS 3000. An optional height adjustable lumbar support pad is available. Seat Pan: Polypropylene
pan upholstered with cold foam 55mm thick in two parts with a firm inner
core and soft outer core. The fabric is applied using the Height Adjustment: overall
120mm with a seat height from 420mm to 530mm by means of a gas action
with the highest safety standard Class 4 with 230Nm. Castors: twin wheel weight dependent safety braked castors, RH for soft floors (carpet) or RW for hard floors. Black RAL 9011.
