|
| A new furniture workstation design that is organised and structured but also highly flexible, allowing the User to select their preferred working position and outlook. | |
|
|
formations has been designed as a HOME OFFICE solution to provide maximum facilities but in confined spaces; It will meet the demands of modern technology with a large Equipment
Bench for the Monitor, CPU, Printer, Fax etc. Work wall with overhead shelving for filing Lever Arch, Box Files etc. Mobile work surface for the User to select their preferred working position or just to change the view!
|
|
Yet it can be brought to life in seconds, by just pulling out the work surface and activating the PC! It can then be positioned in keeping with the Users preference. The User can face the work wall with the desk pulled-out just a little for the keyboard. Or pull it out further to refer to associated papers while using the PC. Or form an "L shape" workstation or just to change the view. Or pull it out completely for a game of cards or any other unrelated use! The size can be varied according to the space available, from as little as 1200mm (4') wide up to 2 metres (6' 6") wide. The depth required for the furniture is a minimum of 800mm (2' 7") in the closed position and up to 1400mm (4' 7") in the fully opened position. Additional depth of a minimum of 800mm (2'7") is required for sitting space. Therefore a Work Surface 1800mm wide x 800mm deep (5' 11" x 2' 7"), an Equipment Bench 2 metres wide x 600mm deep (6' 6" x 2') plus 4 linear metres (13') of shelving can all be provided in a space as small as 2 metres x 2 metres (6' 6" x 6' 6")!

| formations was conceived to meet a very wide range of applications: | |

Executive Office; most of today's senior managers have to have immediate access and use of computer systems and formations keeps it unobtrusive, yet immediately available. |
| Private Office; either as a permanent private office facility or as a touch-down office for visiting managers to access their organisations Intranet via their own laptop or hold meetings. | ![]() |

Shared Office; either on a permanent basis or as a form of "hot-desking". |
| Open Plan office; using a panel system to provide the PC and storage facilities and either for static or for a mobile User as a touchdown workstation for "hot-desking". | ![]() |

Home Office; formations will not dominate a domestic environment and the simple shape linked with it's mobility means it will fit into the smallest recess or a small box room or even the garden shed! Or in a large study. Also for Home Office use is the |
| allavoro 492 operators chair. Designed by Michele De Lucchi & Gerhard Reichert, it is an office chair whose design roots go back to the wooden office chairs of the turn of the 20th century, yet incorporates a full synchronous swivel/tilt mechanism for maximum comfort and support. The design is characterised by its unobtrusive yet distinctive visual impact in a Home Office setting. |

| The design of formations is not completed. It is the basis of an idea and we are looking for input from Designers, Facilities Managers and Users to make it even more versatile and cost effective. | |
